Interesting, could be a giggle... I also like folk to hear I'm coming, not potentially just for safety reasons, but because it puts a smile on my face when they can hear the growl of my engine, especially admiring 'petrol heads,' when they see what's making the noise...:eyebrows:

I don't think there's a problem really. The Honda Insight and Toyota Prius hybrids are near silent and have been around for years without significant issues and plenty of big Jags and Mercs and the like waft along making very little noise.Quote:

The problem wouldn't be so much for the driver, as he knows when the accelerating and braking is going to happen, and subconsciously braces himself for it. It's the passenger who will have the problem.
When me and Mrs. P are out and about, with her driving (usually the case), and I'm busy looking at the back of my eyelids with a tartan rug across my lap and a half eaten Werthers Original stuck to my bottom lip, whiplash injuries are a real possibility.
