Some Like It Hot, 1959.. Years after the film's release, a movie reviewer asked Tony Curtis why his "Josephine" was so much more feminine than Jack Lemmon's "Daphne." Curtis explained he was so scared to be playing a woman (or a man pretending to be one) that his tightly wound body language could be read as demure and shy, traditionally feminine traits, whereas Lemmon, who was completely unbothered, and "ran out of his dressing room screaming like the Queen of the May," kept much more of his masculine body language.

Nice to see original Sci Fi that’s not part of an extended universe, a sequel or part of a Trilogy.
Thoughtful stuff, needs a 2nd viewing Theres so much going on.

some amazing moments, not seen anything like this for a long time.
Reminded me of Gareth Edwards first work, Monsters, more of that than big blockbuster sci-fi, which it also was.
Highly recommended if you liked Blade Runner and the like.

Film wears its influences on its sleeve.

The theme song "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" by Bryan Adams was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song, and it won the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media.
The song was an enormous chart success internationally, reaching the number-one position on the music charts of at least nineteen countries, notable exceptions in the Western World being Italy (number three) and Spain (number four). It is particularly notable for its success in the United Kingdom, where it spent sixteen consecutive weeks at number one on the UK Singles Chart, the longest uninterrupted run ever on that chart as of 2024.
