Oysterflex rubber strap is only available in gold, white gold, and rose gold versions.
He’d fitted the rubber strap as he preferred the look.
Over on the Rolex forums it’s a bit of a thing apparently, few guys have done it there.
Can see why, the 116500LN SS is half the price of the white gold one.
That and the Monaco were my two grail’s, so when one came up that was “do-able” I bit the bullet and did.
Have the Parnis white face silver bracelet Daytona, which I wear a lot and just as happy with.
