You don't see many of these. They were made at Coley Lane Farm, Wentworth, Rotherham.. just 10 mins down the road from me.. They made an Intergrated amp called the 'Emerald' too

'SA150' there, you don't see many of those, you usually see the 'SA200'.. However i dunno about the price but you could relist that Pre amp. The wooden end cheeks look to be missing!
Now i forget if you could do it with the 'SA150' but i had a pair of 'SA200' in bridged mono configuration..after all this tho i still prefered my 'A60'..

Be a great match for the above ARC '101' Speakerz, i know cos i used mine with a pair as i did with the Nytech rig..
Looks to be an oldie http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LUXMAN-707...item43bd8b0f7a
That Luxy is late 60's James

Ah okay, I must be confusing them with another model ! Didn't they do a 3 way from the same period ? I recall a Kef B200, Peerless mid & tweeter... May well be wrong though.
Mordaunt Short had a variety of models in the early seventies, but the only use of the B200 I recall was I believe in the MS737, which had two in each cabinet with a Decca London ribbon tweeter at the top. Lovely speaker!
The only British speaker I can think of from that time with similar drivers and a mid unit that rotted out is the early IMF Compact/Super Compact.
Walpurgis: you're a real gem in this thread/forum!
You're right, I've completely lost it :D I was somehow thinking of the MS235

Item number 200940772343 is calling Walpurgis. :)
I wish you'd post a link Shane. Saves a lot of bother, but I'll have a look.
Oh come on! This is getting silly, £600 for a pair of Tannoy Eatons?
Nice as they are, the going rate is £350/400, unless scarcity has suddenly launched them upwards.

More loony prices and bidding. A Rogers Cadet II pre & power set, not perfect and I bet the MM input module is missing, bid up to £509 and half a day to go? Nuts!
I've had several. They were pleasant enough, but not a patch on a Leak Stereo 20, which you could buy for not much more.

Here we go, this is more like it! Klipsch La Scala horn speakers in Huntingdon, only bid up to £200 so far (they'll rocket)!

I just can't take the cuppy colourations. The best that could be said for the La Scala is that it goes loud!
Well, loud is important for some folks.
Fast, too. Very.
Although those are the only merits that I hear!
These Leak 2060 speakers with a possibly dodgy tweeter could be a bargain, though. :)

Wasn't sure where to post this. http://www.donedeal.ie/audioequipmen...system/5124099
Is this even vaguely worth the money? I only ask because it isn't too far from me.
Thanks, Ben.
yep, looks fairly decent, but expensive - offer £120 / 150 euros. ;)
.
probably about £40 per component, maybe £50 for the tt
Novel Spendor Sp2/2 - glass clad and sand filled. Might even make them sound interesting! I bet it livens them up a bit if there isn't too much sand ballast in there.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/speakers-s...item33839fc968
look lovely, imo - pop round for a listen if you are local to Selby!
Maybe.
For the exact kit value hopefully some other replies also look on Ebay for "Completed" for each piece of kit
For a working system you can get a lot cheaper if prepared to wait.
The system I got for £60 was very similar value with more kit, possibly not quite such good sound quality
In the UK systems like that can go for buttons or even be given away
Would have thought Ireland was similar
I have noticed that most secondhand stuff in ireland tends to be put up for sale not much lower than the new value. Not sure why but that is what happens.
Ah pain.
Have you trawled Ebay completed for systems ?
If no joy then that sounds like a fair deal to me
Thanks mike and walpurgis I have looked ebay ireland but no joy yet.
