Got that nice Mr. Tesco coming to see me this afternoon, he always brings me loads of goodies :).
(think I may order groceries from Asda next time for a change, but that will be a month away)
You're a good dad :)
Does anybody else feel like thumping people who start conversations with "so"? :donk:
Yes.
so, what is your problem with it?
So is a Peter Gabriel album from the 80s. Highly regarded, but I always thought it a bit so so. I assume you're ok with a sentence ending with so, say if it isn't so.
Joe?
getting my ftp fitted today. think they are stringing an optic cable at moment from poles. hoping it goes well.. knowing my luck it wont :D
My signal is gone. Doh. Oh well I've lost TV too for now. Hopefully I will be zooming super fast later
Son on law has come to recover my shed too. Getting all done today. Storms ripped off the felt.
What's an FTP, mate? Anyway, hope it's sorted soon:)
Marco.
Ah, cool.. Thought it would be something like that. We've had that with Virgin now for a few years. I'm sure you'll be zooming about later! Don't forget to take a screenshot of the speed test:)

Minimalism! A good choice?

I spoke to ‘minimalists’ to find out why they are giving up their personal possessions
They've sold everything because they are skint....
whats a t between friends.... or enemies;)

'Only' 6.89 meg. How quickly the horrors of dial-up are forgotten...
Or waiting ten minutes for 'The Hobbit' to load onto your ZX Spectrum then it crashing nine minutes fifty-nine seconds into the load.
Lol - I know, and the daftee's in the middle of London!:D
Geoffers, you CAN do better, if you move from gas-powered net access, supplied by jogging donkeys, to that new-fangled fibre thingy....:ner:;)
Anyway, mine seems reasonably swift:

Marco.
Really? I thought London would've been prioritised for having pretty much anything deemed as 'latest and best'...
In any case, regardless of fibre, there must be another ISP that can offer you better than 7 MBPS, shurely?:D
Marco.
7 meg is fine for most things. To put it in perspective Netflix recommend you have 5 meg for HD video streaming. 25 meg for Ultra HD.
he did when he sling-shot around the sun.
Gigabit. There's a lot of gigabit round here; some buildings in Norwich have had gigabit for five years.
Elsewhere in the county people are struggling to get 5 meg!
I'll run an Ethernet cable to your place mate. :)
Couple of interchanges between my other half's 7 year old granddaughter & her long suffering teacher Miss Saunders

Openreach installed fibres to our bit of countryside last winter. There’s a box on the pole just a few hundred yards across a field at the front of us.
We ‘re currently connected via copper cables to a box about 3/4 of a mile away and have about 7MB - and it’s usually fine with Spotify, iPlayer or me downloading turntable p*rn, but it can’t cope with both of us working from home.
The final straw wax a couple of weeks ago when Ursula was on a Teams video call and I was trying to dial into a Skype meeting. The last time it crashed out , I got straight on the phone to EE and ordered their 100MB fibre broadband.
Being installed in a couple of weeks!
checked my speed this morning and its same as yesterday bar a few mbs. so thats good. silly fast but better too much than too little
that is the car had its weekly run. keep it working if nowt else in case i need it
interweb still holding speed, even with some stuff running.
