Well - COCK-a-doodle-doo!:D
Marco.
Hey, Granty, it's a good job Del doesn't 'broadcast live' from her princess room, eh?:stalks::wow::sofa::uhho:
:lol::lol:
Marco.
now, now Del would never, ever.....em ...:D
Of course not, she's a very good girl!:pat:
Marco.
:donk::whippin:
I like how some bloke on Twitter wondered why Yvette Amos had a statuette of Piers Morgan on her shelf.
I use those backgrounds of book-lined shelves to be a good test of the resolution of one's TV (and of course of the camera in the laptop etc.). I like to see how many of the titles printed on the spine I can read. :)
But my big dislike is the frequent lack of lip-synch - I find it irritating and unwatchable. :(
Any decent TV should have an audio delay/gain function. I have to alter mine as I change certain system digital components; I think it's running at -110ms currently. Spot on it is.
If it's an expert in something who is being interviewed then it's customary to have lots of books in view behind them.
If it's a scientific expert then they might have some lab equipment behind them instead.
How else would you know they're an expert? Blank walls tell you nothing.
No doubt my telly has it, but would it mean I have to fiddle around changing the delay all time? For all broadcast items it is not needed; only for some video links.
Yes - I never came across the problem until the advent of broadcast video links. I assume it doesn't affect those involved; it's only when the link is broadcast does the problem arise. It's not consistent either, with some of the participants the delay doesn't occur (or if it does, the delay is so small I don't notice it).
I don't think there's been analogue TV transmissions for a long time.
But I don't use streaming so maybe that's why I haven't encountered it.
No, but playing a DVD player through a VCR would be an analogue connection.
My 2020 energy report.
Compared to the average UK home, you're lowering your total emissions by 3,178 kg of CO2e per year. It would take 1,589 trees to absorb that.
How big are the trees? What type of tree? In what environment?
Do they have a 'standard' tree modelled, based on measuring the CO2 uptake of every type of tree in every environment? I bet they don't.
What a load of bollocks.
Does anyone care?:)
Marco.
Totally with Morgan on these fucking imbeciles [whom I'd gladly line up against a wall and shoot]: https://www.aol.co.uk/entertainment/...103848428.html
Marco.
Hasbro said "toy needed to break from gender norms" :rfl:
it's a toy based on a potato. FFS, what kind of perverse mind would attach a gender to a potato :)

Lol - great pic!:D
But on a more serious note, exactly... It's rather worrying that these useless/waste of oxygen snowflake-cockheads seem to have so much influence on things!!:guns:
Marco.
Lol - I meant about any bollocks the government spouts.
Marco.
I admire your fortitude. Problem is (as I see it), if major companies are feeling obliged to kowtow to these pressure groups, then the lunatics really have taken over the asylum.
On a related theme, just watch a few adverts and see what marketing companies are doing in order to be part of the new order :(
It's the manufacturers employing these marketing companies that will be wasting their money. I'm all for including minorities (we are all human beings with a right to a voice), but I'm not sure if there are enough lesbian couples with small kiddies eating oven chips to keep Mccains afloat.
Oven chips are what some ad exec living in Islington on 400K a year thinks 'struggling' people eat.
In reality they're too expensive.
Exactly as I see it too, and it's only set to get worse.
Like Piggurs (and you too, I'm sure) I have nothing against minority groups or the underprivileged/disadvantaged in society having a voice and seeking to achieve greater equality (indeed more power to them), but what I can't stand, is both political correctness being taken to absurd levels, or worse, an active campaign by a small, but vocal and seemingly highly influential group, seeking for society to bow to their self-serving agenda and adopt their blinkered mindset - which is exactly what these 'woke' imbeciles appear to be all about!
I'd love to know what's prompted this crap/given birth to it, over the last few years, who's actually behind it, and what their end goal is....
Marco.
Lol - well 'little Johnny' needs a good boot up the arse!!
Marco.
Wisdom has it that your brand has to be seen as being inclusive and diverse. So really it's market forces. Or someone's interpretation of what the market forces are.
If they sell more oven chips they'll keep doing it. If they don't, expect a different style of ad campaign to come along soon.
I'll wager their research shows that 90% of oven chips are bought by women (or someone identifying as a woman).
So although us blokes (and those identifying as blokes) see the ads and scoff derisorily, women are more likely to think 'Ah that's lovely.'
Personally I've got more of an issue with that ad where a mature woman refers to her urine as 'wee'. I mean really?
There's another one, again a bird who won't see forty again, talking about her 'tummy'.
I'd ban the lot and spend the money instead on teaching folk how to cook!
Let's get BACK to BASICS:exactly:
Marco.
