Is it really worth 4k-ish??? what makes it so special?
I have seen some crazy prices on ebay for 'antiques' - are they really worth it, or are they fishing for suckers?

Aura Evolution II VA100 Integrated Amp
I used to own one of these and they are a cracking sounding amp. Made by B&W, output is 50wpc although with a hefty PS and torroidal tranny onboard current delivery is healthy. It is a superbly made product and it looks very cool IMHO :)
Yep - SS-1005 the same as I picked up - missing the Serial Number labels to confirm but they look identical - sound very good to my ears. They didn't oust the Diamond 7.2s on a permanent basis, though. Maybe something to do with the fact that they fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down! ;)
I won these speakers on ebay the other night
Came with the stands as well but i think they seem a bit top heavy for them!

The meters seem a bit pointless as you really have to turn it up to get them to read anything!
Really nice pair of Quad 2805s on ebay - 2 days to go...

Looks pretty reasonable for a pair of 300B monoblocks.

What are these? Early IMF Monitors, or somebody's home built interpretation?

Someone else who couldn't give their item a wipe clean before photographing them.
The dust would be the lease of my worries looking at those speaker grills :eyebrows:
I used to have one of those. Try as I might to purge it from memory it just wont go :steam:
IIRC wasn't the whole thing a Rega Planet knockoff ? The arm looked like an Acos lustre until you used it  Anyway, I enjoyed smashing it up & throwing it out for the bin men.
Stone cold bargain... Okay they are a little tired but for that price its a no brainer for a second / workshop / garage system.

They are good budget speakers... I still have a pair. Once the tweeter cap is changed for something better they really come to life ! Bit of a shame Sony decided to fit gold plated binding posts rather than film caps on the tweeters but there you go I suppose gold looks better...
Sugar would have briefed Rega to make him a cheap piece of shit that 'looked cool'. He has not an ounce of quality in his thinking and Rega would have been stripped to a few quid margin per unit.
I know as he tried to do that with the company I worked for then but we wouldn't grovel enough for the business.
Hi Martin:
I take it you didnt place the winning bid then? :D

If his was the only 'hi-fi' in the world, I would give up music.
Rare Decca Volt speakers. Not perfect, but they have to be a bargain at this sort of price. Ending tomorrow, in Stoke-on-Trent.

Very cheap (so far) 300B valve integrated amp. In Ascot, ends tomorrow.

The wurd *Retro* alone get up my back
You have to be kidding! £199.99 for an Amsturd TT? I don't care if it was made by Rega.

^ one born every minute
 I've always fancied a Mk II Granada though... Preferably a 2.8 Ghia in gold.
http://i.ebayimg.com/t/pioneer-floor...sKg~~60_12.JPG
That is a moody pic of a mk2 Granny. I used to own a mint Silver 2.3 Ghia V6 in the 90's and it was a lovely car :)
I had one too. 2.3GL auto. Nice!
Not as much fun as the Manta GTE that followed it though.
