Went to the cinema for the first time in years today. The London NFT, saw Wild Strawberries (Bergman - 1957) at the NFT 2, a medium size screen. Great watching a film without distractions, and a respectful quiet audience, mostly old blokes, what do you expect though at 2pm on a monday! Actually there were some youngsters there too. Apparently one of his best films, certainly a bit jollier than typical Bergman fare. I liked Persona best, like to see that on the big screen. Wanted to watch Ridley scotts debut as well (The Duelists) but that was 6.30pm, didn;t feel like hanging around that long, next time.
