I bought a td160/jelco armboard from soundsupports, bit fiddly to fit but does the job very well.

put some pics on when youve fitted the Jelco. I still have a bit on an itch about that arm lol
Will do bigman.
These belong to a mate of mine from work who is a former BBC studio manager. Apart from an easily polishable fade on the tops, they are mint and are the quite rare Swisstone made version. Well worth a look. He had a bid from someone in Taiwan with no feedback and cancelled it.

Nice speakers but not anywhere near the right price, the seller must be on a different planet:eek:

plus it bears the ES tag!

Wouldnt be surprised if they sell.
Tannoy DC3000 speakers at £400! That's more than twice what they're worth. They're not very good.

To me that says they aren't worth the asking price, don't get me wrong they're a nice pair of speakers, i had some Sony APM speakers in the late 80's, hence my interest, but even then they weren't £1000 pair, i'd pay about £200 or £300 max, just cos somethings rare doesn't mean it automatically should be worth a fortune.
Some pretty serious money being asked for vintage Decca FFSS cartridges these days.

That's probably a tenfold increase in five years. Mind you, they are scarce and in sound terms maybe worth it!
Thorens TD125 £100 Warminter Gumtree looks cheap

This is a bit steep. £275 for an Ortofon armlift.

Maybe it's a solid Platinum one.
just a tad....seen them sell for a ton though
Here's one for those of you looking for a Japanese DD vintage TT

Sony 4750 complete with arm and Ortofon VMS30 cartridge selling at £120 - worth buying ?
Looks cheap compared to this

That's nothing. How about £300 for a single new five pound note? And all because it has a serial number which starts with 'AK47'!

Oops - Snap!
My one was 180 k £ you could buy a nice house for that. I hope its a misprint
Oh, I thought it was the same listing: the number at the end was the same.
Can't top £180K, but here's another 'AK47' for a mere £70K: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AK47-new-5...3D262800593108
3009 is a great arm. Brilliant engineering
she didnt know the value off the tt at that point, that is why the ad was placed at £100,she has had over 300 emails, 1 person wanted to come down from newcastle,1 travel up from cornwall! others were saying i'll give you £50 more than your asking etc. pure greed if you ask me,sometimes its nice to do the right thing in life and help someone out. thats not directed to anyone on here, just saying. peace back at ya!
I agree totally and had I have spotted the ad before the original post I would have sent a message to say so.
Id guessed the "pissed off" comment was in jest so don't worry.
I put a 3009 on my Toshiba and preferred the Mission. That's all. I'm not in the market for an SME 3009 after my own experience with one. Beautifully engineered and very pretty but just didn't like the sound. Sold it on here (the forum) for a non profit price too. Coz I'm nice like that [emoji6]
