They must have been cream-crackered at that price.
Ah. We have a new ebay category of item. "New Vintage Retro", whatever the bleedin' hell that means. :scratch:

Could this be a pile of shite? Is that a plastic platter I see there? Bet the strobe markings aren't even real ones and where's the strobe light anyway?.
:rfl::rfl::rfl:
Was tentativey watching these till they got a bit silly - curious as to how they'd be with the HPDs (I found them a bit 'meh' with the Monitor Golds when I last owned a pair though I have heard them sounding pretty good in other circumstances).

Not so long ago an unserviced/unhistoried pair like these would have been £1200-1300 ... pair this age the closing price was almost certainly more than they went for new.
Unusual ,if not exactly top quality

The motor looks high quality :)
The lack of ball bearings as witnessed by the ill considered oiling tubes, significantly detracts from that presumption.

Surely this should be a fraction of the price and Spares or Repairs unless can show proof of having been thoroughly tested
7kg of kit is only going to get cosmetic damage after hitting the floor?:scratch:
Here you are. A pair of Voigt corner horns with field coil drivers. You'll probably need at least one watt to drive these.

Not a bargain , but as a suspicious person ,I could not decide if these 2 amps ,is just a case of the one person copying the pic from the other ,so he has an illustration in the listing , -or something else :scratch:

I have a VX700 Technics amp and was wondering about one for bits!!
:eek::eek:
These Bose speakers were on gumtree earlier in the week with the Pioneer system also listed by the seller they all were £50
The price is fooking obscene -
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/American-B...4AAOSwImRYb4MD
Basically. They are rubbish! And he's got the name wrong. It's 'Studiocraft' not Soundcraft. Studiocraft were a budget offshoot speaker range from Bose in the seventies. They employed cheap 'n nasty drive units. The front grilles were non-removable, so they can't be checked, but I'd bet the foam cone surrounds are falling apart.
I copied the description from his listing
"I have acquired these from a relative. They are a very rare find. I won't go into specs as I'm sure hi-fi enthusiasts will know about them. Cosmetically not brilliant but not that bad. Have a look at photos and expect marks and scratches I would say. I have had these set up on a modern Arcam Amplifier and they sound very lovely indeed. Guess these are from a day when sound quality was key. UK postage is for UK mainland only. Norther Ireland more so please ask."
What a bellend
Not eBay, not sure how easy it would be to get but here's one for all those folk looking for a Mission 774 tonearm. Extra wand too. Works out at £259
