Beresford Bushmaster DAC

No bitterness, just stating my experience. I believe I stated that I got the bushmaster back out to try and use as a headphone amp. I had completely forgotten about it until I wanted to use headphones and needed something with a headphone jack. I don't really dwell or agonize over this stuff, hell I found my Emotiva RPA-2 amplifier last week in my garage still in the box from getting the VU meter LED repaired last year. I didn't have another amp to use while it was going to be "out" for repair so I decided to buy an Odyssey Kismet amp. I put the Odyssey in my system and when the Emotiva came back I just put it in my garage. So I guess I'm bitter about Emotiva now too since I said the VU meter LED was bad and it's been in my garage ever since. I'm at the point in my life where if I buy a new piece of equipment I just remove the one that it is replacing and most times forget about it until I need it for something or come across it like I did the Emotiva amp.

Hey Stanley I wasn't sure if it was just me but lately my 7530 is acting odd...sounds great when it finally powers up...just has issues with exactly that. I described the problem on your site's support E-mail but didn't know if you read this just the same. On my glass interconnect Toslink which is the only thing hooked up to the BM, it acts as if no signal is there and instantly powers off. That's only my take on it. I have a source playing as I power up the front switch (if such a thing helps it detect a source) but more and more often it is acting in this manner I have noticed. It takes several times of unplugging the unit from the back before I get 'lucky' to have it run through the auto detect light sequence. I absolutely LOVE the sound quality, size, function and look of my BM but just reading your post is there a firmware update that mine is need of or is the 12volt power supply flaking out? My Toslink is tight on each end, checked. Almost thought it was that and both Tos1 and 2 did the same thing. Mine is of the mid 2012 run models judging form my posts here. I am not asking for a refund in any shape or form, just something is amiss. May you help at your convenience? :) I can send it off to you or whatever is needed. Many thanks!

Hi David, I have replied to your email :). And as a reminder to anyone else: personal techinical issues with a DAC can only be handled via email by the techncial team at homehifi. It is easier for us to then dig up old email exchanges and send out follow up comments to specific persons who may otherwise not pick it up in a lengthy forum thread.
