Thanks to Nigel (VinylSpinner) for the Denon amp for my second system.... Just the job. Really well packaged.
Listening to it now and it has a nice grip on the Dittons, making a sound I can easily live with whilst working in here.
Cheers

Thanks Dan.

Just wanted to say thanks to Scott (Scott Nangle Audio) for his exemplary service in supplying me with one of the limited edition 45 RPM vinyl Doors box sets, which I'm absolutely delighted with.
Scott's communication was prompt, professional and attentive, throughout the transaction, which is just how I like it and how things should be done! The box set arrived superbly packaged (he'd obviously spent considerable time ensuring that it arrived to me in the same mint condition as it had left him) :)
I cannot fault any aspect of my dealings with Scott. I look forward to putting much more business his way in future, and so would not hesitate to recommend his services to others. Buy from him with confidence, folks. Cheers, Scott!
Marco.
Thanks to Marc (Rothchild) for the smooth purchase of the Turntable wall shelf, hope you are happy with it.
Nigel

Many thanks to Nigel (SUMDAY) for selling me his Revolver. Collected this afternoon. Pleasant bloke and no issues with the purchase. :)
I also have to thank Jerry for the CDs I picked up from the sorting office this morning. Like Alex says, top notch packaging so they arrived in perfect condition.
Thanks a lot Jerry!
Rob just delivered the Fostex206en Horns to mine, and boy they sound good!

PS. full review coming soon!
Francy, thanks for your kind words. It was good to see parts of Battersea I had not seen in over 30 years. In some ways it hadn't really changed at all, but perhaps just grown up a little.....unlike me:D
I will be interested to see your review.
Rob.
Another thankyou to Jerry, whose CDs arrived in mint condition earlier today.
Hi,
I'd just like to tell a tale of excellent service from one of the members/traders on this forum.
Ages ago I bought a Moth RCM off David Brookes (MCRU) and it sat in the corner for ages before I finally got around to building it. I found the kit was missing the support for the end of the vacuum tube so I contacted David and asked about sourcing one. This was over the Easter break and he was on holidays at the time. He sorted it for me and I received the part direct from Moth about a week later.
I know David cops some stick here for his enthusiastic approach to selling his wares, but you can't fault his service. Thanks David. Much appreciated! :)
Steve (macsiemus) thoroughly recommended seller :-)
Nice CA phono stage, bargain price and great service.
Thanks Steve.
Phil
My thanks to Keith at Purite for superb and friendly service.
Steve
Big thanks and compliments to Dahit, a new member of the Forum who recently bought my Caiman Dac from me.
Quick sale, great comms, friendly guy no quibbles at all.
Deal with confidence. :)
Thanks to Dave aka Synsei for the great deal on the 6L6 tubes, very pleased.
Cheers Dave
Another compliment to another exemplary seller and new AOS member, "Friendly".
Bought his M2Tech Young Dac + Linear PS from Gwyn, and it was a pleasure to deal with him.
Great comms, immediate dispatch upon payment. Had a nice chat on the phone too where he was happy to answer a couple of questions I had about the Dac.
One of the good guys, deal with confidence. :)
Good to meet you today, I hope you and/or Dave enjoy the Diamonds
Many thanks to Simon Si74 for the Zeta arm, very well packed and better than described.
Thank you
Hello all
Really pleased that I bought a modded Caiman from Gazjam - top bloke, very helpful and patient. The kit was in great condition and very well packed and he threw in the stock PSU which wasn't part of the sale.
I'm starting to stray into upgrading my system and this was just what the doctor ordered as a first step. He's a credit to the forum and I'm inclined to buy with confidence after this.
On that point the Caiman feeds a Cambridge Audio A1 and Rogers LS4a speakers. I like the speakers and I think that the amp could be a weak link for now - hard to tell though - it could be either. I enjoy my system most listening to acoustic guitar and singer or small jazz ensembles, nothing to 'busy' - what I have can sound a bit muddied when things get busy.
I've hankered after a Quad 303 (using the Caiman as a preamp) and have heard they generally match well with Rogers speakers (albeit my low end ones). Any other suggestions? An old Nait? Probably looking for something up to £300.
Maybe this is for another thread? Perhaps I shouldn't detract from my praise of Gazjam?? His MCRU server is something I have my eye on for the future by the way.
Big thanks to Puffin (Rob), for the Genesis cables sold to me at a great price and promptly sent. Great communication too!
You're welcome:cool:
Hope you get as much pleasure out of the Beresford Caiman as I did Steve.
The medical linear PSU takes things up a notch again.
Always good to welcome a new AOS member with a sale! :)
Stress free transaction - the best kind.
Enormous gratitude to Ian (IHP) for the Radford amp he sold me the end of last year.
Despite completing the transaction in December, it was more convenient to have it collected in March/April this year, and here I must thank Marco for his help in this matter and for actually collecting the amplifier for me.
The amplifier is in perfect working and cosmetic condition and I'm delighted with it. Plenty of fun to be had now with tube rolling and on deciding which load impedance setting is best for my Quad 57s.
As you can imagine, I'm a very happy bunny!
Many, many thanks Ian.
Glad to hear that it was worth the wait, Barry! :)
Marco.
Wooooooo-hoooo - round two of the amp-olympics at Barrington Corner!
Thanks go to TBL (Ian) for the Ikeda headshell I bought of him. He said next day delivery and it arrived the following day and in the condition described and well packed. Good communications and a pleasure dealing with him
Buy with confidence from him.
Regards Neil
Many thanks to Tony (Little Tone) for the CDs he sold me. Unbelievably well packed and with very reasonable postal charges, I'm delighted.
Over five hours of new listening for me tonight! :)
Thanks again.
Great dealing with James (istari_knight) who sold me a fully serviced Arcam Delta 60 amplifier. Good communications, well packaged and delivered according to plan.
First impressions are excellent and the work to my ears sound worthwhile and probably means this amp may keep going for another 20years. There could even be a chance it sounds better than new :)
Many thanks to Shane (Southall-1998) for the Quad 306 amp. It was superbly packed and arrived safe and sound via Interparcel's Camel Train service :D
Thanks Shane it sounds wonderful ;)
Nice one synsei, thanks.
Folks, synsei is a nice guy to deal with. He has a good nature and attitude!!
Happy to deal with synsei again.
Thanks Tony (Little Tone) for the CD's; all great and well packaged as well.....
Huge thanks to Dave (hifi_dave) for supplying me gratis with some QED 79 speaker cable.
This is the sort of thing that makes AoS such a great Forum (and a great community).
Thanks again Dave, your generosity is much appreciated.
Big thanks to Allen (Audio Al) for buying my Dual TT it was a prompt and painless transaction.
And also for putting up with the disgraceful state of the 'walpurgis den' (finished re-polishing my Ditton 15s by the way).
Had a trip down to Welwyn today to pick up a Technics 1210 MkII from Mark. It was good to meet such an enthusiastic and knowledgeable gentleman. Listened to the TT through his system and he let me listen to my 'Best of the Crusaders" album as a tester! Excellent, I wished I could have stayed longer but the Fuehrer was already barking orders to go on manoeuvres in the garden with the mower!!!:whippin:
Thanks Mark. Great system, beautiful home. Hope I can return the favour some time.
Garry
Big thanks to Jerry (Covenant) for the T amp, just got to find my box of power supplies to get it fired up:scratch:
many thanks Jerry.
Nigel
I'm grateful to Carl (valves) for selling me a nice Decca Maroon, which is sounding very good as I write this.
Many thanks,
Geoff.
Just bought an RCM in beautiful condition from Allen (Audio Al).
Nice, pleasant and straightforward transaction.
Peter
Sadly I must report that Scott (trading as Scott Nangle Audio) has let me down badly and proven to have very poor customer service. I ordered 13 SACDs on 15th April and since then have received every excuse as to why they never arrived. I asked repeatedly for shipping details and tracking number and received evasive replies. I was told repeatedly that they were shipped (apparently in two packages) but never saw them and never received any hard information such that I could attempt to trace them.
When I had finally had enough and asked for my money to be returned on 20th May it took a further 10 days and a threat of legal action to receive the funds back into my account. Again I had the same excuses, including 'the funds never left my account', whatever that means.
All of this could be forgivable if Scott's communications were good, but sadly I had to do all the chasing and phoning at every step of the process. I am patient and can forgive a start-up business a few hiccups, but this went very much further than that.
I cannot in all honesty recommend Scott's business and will not be using him again.
