Goodness! Stepenwolf's 'Magic Carpet Ride' - I'd forgotten about them. Used to have an LP by them.

Can't find it now, so probably gave it away. Think I recorded 'Magic Carpet Ride', 'Born to be Wild' and 'The Dealer' onto cassette.

ummm... put simply, i have difficulty going to sleep. That is why i turned to music to sing lullaby songs whenever I get insomnia attacks. Works every time :).

Not obscure enough - I have one to use with my 280mm/F4.8 Leitz Telyt lens.

Agreed it does make the 'converted' Leica a bit of dog to handle!

Anyway touring in France one year she started to riff a little on this and began calling me Montesquieu instead ... then low and behold we drove into the village of that name (was Gascony IIRC). So that's what stuck.
