Yep, the family resemblence is definitely there! :)
One wonders just how many products with a 'hi-end' badge were actually made in Japan by companies like Jelco, and how some of their owners would feel if they knew... ;)

As far as I'm concerned, the Grace was the best tonearm the LP12 ever seen...
Fit a Supex and you had a match made in heaven - much better than any of the overpriced bollocks Linn are making nowadays!

I had been using this classic combination for quite a period many moons ago, thanks to Linn!
My current set up (Ittok and OC9) has been my second devotional attempt in the pilgrim’s progress, thanks to Linn again!
The Grace 707 is a very good arm but the cable is not. I am now using a tonearm cable which I bought from the US two years ago and it is a vast improvement over the stock one.

Yep... Cables are one area in hi-fi where 100% of the time what's modern is better than anything from 30 years ago! ;)
It's often the case though that vintage tonearms (providing that they're operating optimally in a mechanical sense) are superior to many examples being made today; often a simple rewire results in superb performance and the owning of a veritable bargain.
