I think so - but very hard to find an actual picture - this is a 3D rendering of the 3 - main difference being two ports on the actual ebay ones vs one on the rendering and different placement.

Oh, and one other thing - the seller says the top Bass units have been replaced with units from a KEF Coda (iii he thinks) but the top ones look right to me (KEF B200) - I would personally replace the bottom 2 with another pair of B200s as they should have been originally.

Sorry but if that top unit has been replace it will not work the same as the Dalesfords it originally had. The two bass units were of an high impedance wired together in parallel...

To be honest Andre, I'm not going to go for them anyway on the basis that they've been "butchered" - but interesting to see some for sale nonetheless.

I'm pretty sure RAMs always used Dalesford units, so it probably is the upper unit that has been changed if its a KEF now.

Frankly, I'm more concerned that they weigh "15kg" each. Really? That's not very much!

I asked an eBay seller if they would post a pair of Pageant II's the other week, they replied "I'm sorry but they weigh 30kg each so postage isn't possible." :doh:

Yeah according to my owners manual they are 9.6kg each or 22.25kg per pair packed. Still wouldn't listen - I think it was just a poor excuse instead of saying "I cant be arsed to pack them."

Not enough room for Tannoy Lockwoods, but room enough for LS3/5As. :)

You're right - he was referring to a prototype that used B200s.

"The RAM3 used the same units as the RAM2, which was a scaled down version. Quite the opposite, I found they had a slightly bright balance. They do need to be at least a foot away from the rear wall otherwise they will boom which I suppose you could call "rich & resonant"...

Adam, judging by the cabinet proportions, I'd guess these to be the MS700 or MS737. Well worth grabbing, if only for the Decca ribbon tweeters.

Ridiculous!

They are early, but rare because most were chucked out. The Cresta sounded nothing like the LS3/5a (as quoted), it wasn't great, I had a pair about five years ago. These were £10 boot sale fodder until recently. Only a mug would pay the price asked.
