Indeed. I wonder what was going on with the pics/link, though? Call me daft (after all I am a daftee), but it really pisses me off when I can't see what someone else has posted to look at!
Marco.
Yes it was all a bit weird - don't have a clue what was going on. I'm sticking to the butt-plug and stiletto theory until proven otherwise!
<5 miles from me, as well...
I cant find what model they are... Pretty sure not STL4 or 400 as seller states, more likely a variant of the Ram 3  I'll let others decide!

I think so - but very hard to find an actual picture - this is a 3D rendering of the 3 - main difference being two ports on the actual ebay ones vs one on the rendering and different placement.

Oh, and one other thing - the seller says the top Bass units have been replaced with units from a KEF Coda (iii he thinks) but the top ones look right to me (KEF B200) - I would personally replace the bottom 2 with another pair of B200s as they should have been originally.
Sorry but if that top unit has been replace it will not work the same as the Dalesfords it originally had. The two bass units were of an high impedance wired together in parallel...
To be honest Andre, I'm not going to go for them anyway on the basis that they've been "butchered" - but interesting to see some for sale nonetheless.
What's this then no one reads previous posts week?
You're right - he was referring to a prototype that used B200s.
"The RAM3 used the same units as the RAM2, which was a scaled down version. This was designed before the RAM2, and derived from the first speaker I ever made, which used two KEF B200's for base units, and, whilst sounding good, had an awful impedance curve (two 8 ohm units in parallel) that some amps at the time didn't like."
i thought about having a go at these but forgot cos i was out playing with my engines
anyone know anything about them ?

Cabinet ist wunderbar. Sound ist kaput.
Ja!
I think Vince Jenning's own words - but as I said, I got confused as he was talking about the first pair of speakers he made when mentioning the B200, not the 3's. http://www.vincejennings.webspace.vi...ics/early.html
Wonder how much he actually wants for them?

These may go cheap due to the poor title... A bargain if they stay at £20 IMO.

... I know, not vintage :spank:
...but they do have a "rich and resonant tone"!
Quite the opposite, I found they had a slightly bright balance. They do need to be at least a foot away from the rear wall otherwise they will boom which I suppose you could call "rich & resonant"...
What do we reckon this pair of Rogers will go for - six-grand?
Rogers picture speakers! :spew:
There actually quite rare
Lovely looking veneer on them, unless it is the photo - must be worth a punt though. :D
These Usher S 520s look gorgeous . . .

Blimey i missed that one
More 'White Van Man' speakers (these are the originals I believe).
Apparently they have an "acoustic response" and are "DVD compatible"!

I predict a bidding war :eyebrows: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Ra...item20d2a3281d
Edit: Or not. looks like someone made an offer
Only been on 2 hours & its got 10 bids ... Still only £5.50  What are these people biding in 20p's or what ?

He doesn't seem to advertise in Hi-Fi World now.
Cant blame him eBays full of suckers... With some nicely lit pictures, worldwide shipping & 99p start quite often stuff sells for 50% more than its worth.
Ridiculous!
They are early, but rare because most were chucked out. The Cresta sounded nothing like the LS3/5a (as quoted), it wasn't great, I had a pair about five years ago. These were £10 boot sale fodder until recently. Only a mug would pay the price asked.
Mighty Rock V!!!
