Technics SL-M3 turntable - looks interesting :-)
Lovely deck and a very impressive performer but limited to P-mount cartridges. The price is a little optimistic IMHO, however.
And from the seller who veneered every tt plinth, look at his other items for sale :)

Quite similar to my kef caras. Worth a bit less than his £250 bin
Aye they are nice. Damn near mint too considering. Alas they are in the storage wardrobe thingie. I have a few others in the storage too... also 9 amps now lol
Not A Bargain...

"Economical with the truth" arsewipe seller claims "In good working order" how would he even know.. he even "forgets" to mention the missing stylus..
there are far too many of this type of item all over eBay these days.
Bodged. Yup. That's the word!

I had a pair of BC1's for many years. The bass units look like they may well be right with one a later factory replacement. they were only rated @ 40W and I blew one of mine and ended up "upgrading" to the 55W's direct from Spendor.
The HF 1300's are right but the missing Coles unit is only available "used".
The bass units will be prone to sagging, and I doubt if the joker selling them really has a clue as to how they should/might sound but if the bass units are "right" they are still a good price for the parts.
What's a Twitter????
A pair of these technics just sold on this forum, they are not mint like the ones sold here though...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/332019816268
Surprising .. to me.
In MY part of the world Ebay is for buying crap Chinee Junk items for almost free, (ebay shares are on serious decline as result)
Or Bric a Brac from octogenarian twits trying to supplement their sad circumstances
Then I've noticed that old Yama 350 Motorcycles..as I have a couple..which trade for ~1000$ 'Here' are typically listed for ~ 7500 to 10,000 gbps on UK Ebay.
How is this possible?
Half the discretionary income yet quintuple the pricings.. for Tat ?
One cannot make this stuff up.
If you mean the Yamaha 350 lc then they have a cult status here in the uk :)
As do the H1 and H2 Kawasaki two strokes. Clean original examples fetching maybe £10,000 or more now.
Should have kept mine .

I sold a pair of those about three years ago.
Clarity is OK Dan, but I wasn't really keen. To me they just sounded like what they are. Tiny speakers. They were just something I picked up at a boot sale out of curiosity.
Cant really go far wrong at that price Dan
They look interesting tbh and would like to know what you think of them Dan
Hi Taz
Their an interesting design but worth what i payed for them - sound wise good for their size i tested them with "Dark Side of The Moon" and was quite taken with the clarity as Geoff has stated their is no low bass but its very light but its noticeable but the instrumental detail is clean verdict i will keep them as they are too cute not too apparently the cone magnet is nearly the size of the cabinet.
Theirs a pair on eBay ending today @ £29 its a BIN price so take a look and give them a go if you want to if not i will put an offer in for these too great for the money ideal for my just put something on to play music with no fuss.
If it's of interest. The drivers would probably work rather well in a small horn or OB speaker.
They'll be nice quality. Quite likely made for Technics by Coral or Foster (Fostex).
Nice set of tangent speakers. These were quite good if memory serves.

Wharfedale Dovedale III crossover. £50 for one!! Barmy. That's about all I'd pay for a complete pair of the speakers.

I paid more than that for empty cabs :eyebrows: quite well made too.

rotel tuner finishing soon.
A rare opportunity. A new Denon DL-160 high output MC cartridge. They were discontinued a while back. Very pleasant sounding and definitely a step up from the less refined DL-110.

No longer the bargain it once was, but very competitive even at this price. German seller.
Yes, a bit pricey tbh...not really worth that amount ime...but it is rare being new. Usualy go for a ton plus second hand
I liked mine, and it tracked pretty good too. Better than its replacement thats for sure. Guess if you got it for 200 it wouldnt be too bad a buy. Last you a lifetime
One thing I did like about the DL-160, apart from the typical MC 'niceness', was the way it didn't reveal surface noise as much as most.

Err......no you're alright!
Hmm. £580 for a Musical Fidelity Digilog? I don't think so.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-Music...QAAOSwnbZYHyUa
£75 more like.
One for the EAR fans ... 519s come up VERY only rarely ...
