Yes, it is excellent here to be fair, a bus every 15 minutes into Cardiff during the day and 30 at night up to 2300.
Trains are decent too, so I rarely use the car. I shop local which is a 10 minute walk away, the sea front is 3 minutes away . . . so not far to go, loaded up with cash in my pockets :D
Today I am housebound, as the road outside my house is closed.
They are holding an event in the French Speed roller skating marathon competition, and it passes outside my house.
I would much prefer if it were the Tour de France.
Sounds ideal. I like Cardiff and ha e spent a few interesting nights out.Quote:

We were there about 3 years ago to see Rag 'n Bone Man at Cardiff Castle. Then into a fried chicken and kebab shop across from the castle. Ordered chicken and chips, and while we waited some bloke came in and practically threw his food across the counter and demanded his money back. Said the chicken was pink and disgusting.
Checked my chicken. No pinkness. But when we got back to the hotel it became apparent the chicken had been marinated in cat diarrhoea. Seriously. Found the shop on Trip Adviser, which had several reviews describing the food as 'inedible' and 'dangerous'. Oh well you live and learn.
But despite that, and our 'boutique' hotel brekkie that was nothing like any cooked breakfast I've ever had before, we had a lovely stay and would definitely go again :)
I think you might notice a few changes in 20 years, especially around the stadium - some good, some not so. The whole area in front of Cardiff Central Station is totally different - HQ for BBC Wales, which is huge and dominates the area. Cardiff Bay is really good now, the Millennium Centre especially, outstanding venue for music and theatre.Quote:

Same here, although not all Hollywood films are bad: I could probably list around 50 films which IMO are pretty good and well worth watching.Quote:

Lately, not so many - they all seem to be superhero action movies, which do not translate well to cinema. The rest are films depicting disillusionment with the 'Great American Dream'. :doh:
Don't forget all the Pixar etc. crap. Where they get some big Hollywood names to do the characters' voice overs, just to make it all more "real" and worth your hard-earned.
