Did you use a flash to take that? If so, shame, as it makes your lovely crema look horribly synthetic! Or if not, there's something not quite right with the lighting. Compare that with the previous shot, mate.
Whatever you do to make your crema look lovely and brown and rich, in terms of lighting/use of flash/camera angle or whatever, is what you need to do *every* time you photograph your coffee:)

Lack of natural light and no overhead. Should have taken it in kitchen really. It's the Italian blend I'm using Quite nice it is and gives just enough crema. Might end up keeping this as a staple
After saying that the crema is slightly browner than orange but fine in my book. Ive got a kilo of stuff so be ok for a while lol
No worries, mate. Hope you haven't taken it the wrong way... It's just that most of the time your coffees look sensational, and for me it's a shame when the photographic/lighting arrangements spoil that effect:)

I've had it happen to me before mate, when photographing food... Lack of natural light and/or flashes strip the warmth from the look of what you're photographing, and make it appear somewhat insipid.
