Watching 'Julie & Julia' 2009 again on Drama channel.
Meryl Streep is wonderful in this and Amy Adams is very sweet. Not at all the sort of thing I'd look for normally, I came across it by chance when nothing else worth watching was on. The story revolves around a cookery blog of all things, but it works. Lovely movie with great charm!

It's a great book, the original film was a bit disappointing by comparison I thought but improves on repeated watching. Not seen this new one but was aware that it was out.

Well the spirit of the 60s Robert Wise film The Haunting is strong in this TV series, plenty of creepy atmosphere and scares. Well worth a watch :eek:

Implausible thriller, yet it’s quite gripping with a constantly changing ‘goodies’ and ‘baddies’ dynamic. Worth watching if you have a couple of hours to spare.
“A heavy rainstorm and severe flooding cause the sheriff and residents of a local town to evacuate and abandon it. However, an armoured vehicle carrying $3 million gets caught in the storm, making it a sitting duck for a gang of bandits, led by Jim (Morgan Freeman), who attempts to steal the cash. To prevent the bandits from getting their hands on the money, the van's driver, Tom (Christian Slater), runs off with it, but escape is not going to be easy with the water rising to life-threatening levels.”

I have seen it, but didn't think it all that great.
