I have been doing some very heavy work today, tree pruning, but having had a few odd days of heavy work I bounce back very well.

Doesn't matter how much hard work you do, if you then do something that finds a new muscle it's going to ache 48 hours later. Normally another 24 hours will see it recover.
What started as a seemingly simple mission to sort out a blocked sink expanded rapidly once I got under there and discovered a total shit-show.
Think it is all sorted now but still have to go back in a bit, finish clearing up and then mop the floor.
Not sure how I ever had time for that working lark.

I used to have a perennial problem with a slow-running/blocked plug-hole in the bathroom washbasin. Sorted it out, once and for all, using 98% concentrated sulphuric acid!
Yeah, I reckon any extreme acid or alkali would do the trick. Caustic soda (which is a strong alkaline) is often used to clear drains. I remember using it to clear the carbon out of the exhausts on my 2-stroke bike back in the day. You could hear it working, fierce stuff!Quote:

I gave it the plunger and two bottles of unblocker in the end, that shifted it.
Chucked out that much this week that my wheely bin is almost full. Never usually gets over a third and they only collect once a fortnight.
