Very nice, another one on my list!
Another Pagani today, quartz though - put it on the Jubilee strap but not 100% lining up correctly so may go back or try a leather strap.

Dates wrong but I struggle to see that anyway.
Another Seiko mod today, but not a diver this time,

I’ve bought a couple of Cadisen automatics and been very impressed with them for dirt cheap - this one was on a black leather strap originally but I fancied a “beads of rice” bracelet. (Difficult to see in the photo but the bezel is black ceramic.)

I had that one Alex, went as part of a part ex deal on a Christopher Ward.
When I visited the Science Museum in February, aside from the Omega “moon watch” the other one I fell in love with was the Patek Philippe Nautilus.
I tried to find the most accurate homage, and lots of them weren’t quite right in proportions, were quartz (had to be an automatic) or just looked wrong, and then for £15 I stumbled upon this one, made by “JHLU” so obviously Chinese, but I can’t seem to find anything about them online.
Anyway, I absolutely love it - proper stainless steel case with decent enough brushing and all the proper details on the case that I haven’t seen on any other replica.

This is an original - not sure it is worth spending £108,660 more, to be honest!

Seems to be quite a few different Nautilus. Yes, the prices are staggering even for a used one!
Handsome looking watch - I like it. What are the set of holes in the lugs on the left and right (winder) sides of the watch for?
(On a completely different topic, I visited the Science Museum a few months ago for the first time in at least 20 years. I was most disappointed: most of the 'hands on' displays intended for education had gone; the display of cameras and their invention had gone, and worse of all the display of sound recording and reproduction equipment was pathetic; concentrating on digital and on-line promulgation. It is supposed to be a museum, so where were the reel-to-reel tape machines, and the Quad 57s that used to hang from the ceiling?)
Got the red one (not sure if I prefer this one or the stainless steel version? Will probably get both.)

To be honest Barry I don’t know what the holes are for, they look like they are hinges, they are on the original and my copy, but as to what the actual function is I am unsure.
I do know what you mean about the museum - it had changed a lot since I had last visited (probably only a 10 year gap) and not all for the better! I never found any audio gear at all, although we didn’t cover the whole thing so no doubt tucked away.

I know I am in the minority loving a skeleton!
Got an Invicta one similar to that, you’ve always got your phone to fall back on if you need the time.

I quite like that one, but what are the three second hand dials for? Stopwatch function?
But why the two smaller dials, when one would do for stopwatch duties? Is a chronograph different to chronometer? Just asking.
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...fc31e03efd.jpg
Bottom dial is time keeping seconds. When you initiate the stopwatch function (top button) the sweep second hands starts running and timekeeping second hand stops. Whole stopwatch minutes are recorded on the top dial and middle dial records time. Stopwatch can be stopped by pressing top button and reset by pressing the bottom button.
The crown can be pulled off to reveal a cheese wire that can be used to garrotte Apple Watch wearers.
I think Roy has/had one of these and posted before - Barry didn’t like the second hand I seem to recall?!

It’s a Rolex Milgauss homage:
“The Rolex Milgauss is a unique, science-inspired timepiece engineered to withstand electromagnetic interference. Famous for its playful orange lightning-bolt seconds hand and distinctive green-tinted sapphire crystal, it was officially discontinued in 2023 and remains a highly sought-after, collectible.”
Purpose: Built for scientists and engineers. It utilizes an internal soft-iron Faraday cage to shield the movement from magnetic fields up to 1,000 gauss.
Market value for a genuine one £7-14k. I paid £40 for my copy, and I’m wearing it today because it matches my trainers!
Actually don’t quite match but near enough!

Pagani Grand Seiko look-a-likey now back on its original bracelet and matches my shorts!

Like that, I'm a sucker for a light blue dial.
Yep, mine’s got a black dial.

Had the chance to buy a genuine Milgauss in St Lucia and didn’t take it, retail at the time was about £4.5k.
Still haven’t got a Parnis…
The Pepsi Invicta again today, (now sporting the Jubilee bracelet I took off the light blue Pagani). Are you keeping up? and yes, matches my outfit!

Wasn’t going to bother today but Alex inspired me. This one shouts ‘Invicta’ and will take a claw hammer to your head if you don’t listen.
Was never going to match those shorts anyway.

Prompted me to wear this.

This weekends choice.

Nice Gaz!
Cadisen Day/Date (NH34 movement) with the strap from the other Cadisen I picked up for Peanuts - this one was even more Peanuts than the last one, £15!
(See what I did there with the Snoopy/Peanuts thing? No? I’m wasted on you lot, but here all week! )

Time to get the suit off and head into the weekend. :)
Looking good there Alex - and yes I got the Peanuts/Snoopy joke.
We are only 5 posts short of 6,000 for this thread, so Guys let's be having some more watch photos. :)
Nice looking watch but (pedant alert) the NH34 movement has a GMT hand.
Good weekend Alex et al!
Here’s a huge Invicta.
