There is a fascinating rumour circulating around the hallowed halls of Formula 1 just now which centres around Adrian Newey and his long time partner in crime, aerodynamicist Peter Prodromou. Although not confirmed as yet, Prodromou and his right hand man are expected to leave Red Bull at the end of the season to go to Mclaren. Prodromou has been a long term associate of Newey's and if past history is anything to go by, wherever one goes the other is soon to follow.
I'd love that. I've nothing against Vettel but it's getting predictably boring.
Hopefully it might take Adrian a while to settle and allow the others a chance to win. I've only missed a handful of Grand Prix since the 70s yet I've not even tuned into the highlights, or indeed any coverage for the last 3 Grands Prix. I don't plan on watching any of the remainder either.
It's a shame you feel that way Andrew because leaving Vettle aside for a moment, there have been some wonderful scraps behind him for the remaining places. I do understand why you feel the way you do however as I have been through similar stages in the past, especially when Senna was so dominant for Mclaren during the 1980's.
Hulkenberg has impressed in the Sauber recently, his driving during the South Korean GP was a joy to watch. It's a shame Sauber saw fit to let Takuma Sato go as I feel he would have been the perfect foil for Nico. Both drivers have that self belief and go-getter attitude which is sadly missing from many of the mid-field drivers these days, with a few notable exceptions of course ;)
