Enjoy mate. Just got a new set of speakers myself. A real mission getting them up into the man cave but worth it. They're about 60kg apiece..

Yeah Jim,
At long last.
Been a bit of a Saga this one!
Looking fwd to finishing work and unboxing it tonight.
Yeah,
Its double boxed and well packed out with polystyrene internally.
The Holo stuff is well packed.
:D
What amps are you using there to drive those beasts Ali?
Will enjoy the Holo Audio stack Ali, cheers mate.
Your man cave?
That's a nice wee set of bookshelf speakers.you got there!
Crikey,
They are almost as big as your old OBs!
Will really drive that room, what are they Ali?
How's the bass interaction with the walls, ok?
Do you have room treatment in play?
Lol, yeah man cave. Think they're bigger than the OB's, 127cm tall. They're Lumley Lampros 400's. Probably about 20 years old. Took a punt from an auction and glad I did, these are by far the best speakers I've had. The IPL's were great but these make them sound like toys. Drivers are all pristine. A few marks on the cabs but I suspect that was from the auction house moving them around. Nothing too bad other than one gouge that I did getting them up here. Other than that they look almost new, don't think they had a hard life. Equivalent price today would be 15k. Solid Cherrywood cabs and lead lined, which goes a long way to explaining the weight. :-)
They have tappings for bass, mids and top so very room tunable- 5 levels to select from for each.

I've stuck some foam corner pads each side of the screen in the corners- you can see them poking up above the speakers but other than that no treatment and can't say they made any difference. On the face of it the room should be too small for them but there isn't any issues I can hear. I think the fact that the walls are not very solid- you can flex them in and out- actually helps- no bass boom.
The fun bit was getting them up into the loft. Did it by myself which was fun. Think the Egyptians would be proud of me lol.
