i dont suppose anyone has compared the bushmaster to the Meier stagedac?

I must add that the Lurcher PSU for the Bushmaster was not a rouge design that attempts to feed off the sales of the Bushmaster. It was a properly designed integral part of the Bushmaster. Nick, the designer of the Lurcher power supply, and me spent a considerable period working together on this project. And more than one version was developed and auditioned until we were both satisfied that the final design would exhibit a clear and noticeable difference for the money that is being asked for it.

The Lurcher PSU is also the only one that incorporates the earthing lead that can be hooked up to the earth tag on the Bushmaster DAC. This is an important option on the power supply since it allows for the use of the BM and the PSU in quite hostile mains conditions with zero deterioration in audio performance. This is worth mentioning.

Just want to say that customer service from Stan is absolutely top class. I contacted him late last week with a slight problem, and was told my Bushmaster needed a couple of updates. He did the updates for me (as I don't really know one end of a soldering iron from the other) and got it back to me really quickly.

The brief time spent without the Bushmaster was a revelation though. It was almost painful listening to music, as there was such a lack of depth and clarity. Now I've got it back, I'm very happy again, and can only marvel at what Stan puts/does inside that box.

Due to having the advantage of being able to put the Led's on sleep mode i keep forgetting to turn my BM off at night.I have now given up and just leave it on 24/7.It never gets hot,but am i doing it any long term damage.??Don't know enough about electronics to know.I once left a JCB running in the yard for a bank holiday weekend and it loved it,mind you it smoked a bit when i revved it up.:lol:

You'll find that a lot of people tend to forget to switch it off. The current consumption is around 160mA in auto mode. That's roughly 2Watts. Not enough to heat up the DAC. But of course, switching it off is always a good way to save on energy.
