I've seen 761's go for around £25, so don't worry.
I bought a Denon 1520 from greenhome Electronics recently. Perfect mechanicals (I believe the mech is fairly similar to Marco's big Sony) but the electronics are in dire need of fettling as the sound is totally two dimensional with no dynamic shading at all..

That arm looks like a Helius Aureus (certainly the gimbal assembly looks like one). I'm afraid it was total shite.

It looks like the same gimbal assembly. I had no end of trouble with bearing stiction and getting it to trace correctly across the arc of the LP. No amount of adjustment ever cured it completely and I eventually sold it on in disgust.Quote:

All old problems can be sorted by sending the arms to Helius to have a full service which includes bearings..
