Not a bad looking unit, but I wouldn't get the use out of it - I can't face brews first thing. Anita had a teasmade years ago. Then she met me, making the teasmade redundant :)

At a car boot I bought one of those old clock radios where the time display is on flip down cards rather than being digital. The mech that changed the cards was knackered, so I intended to fix it but never got round to it and in the end I chucked it out. Probably shouldn't have done as there's one for sale on eBay at £156

Perfect, I could live with that one. Is actually very similar to one I had in the 80s. And I would prefer the 'flip' numbers anyway, I have experienced crappy digital digits disappearing over time.

You know how many cards there are in those things? That was the main reason I gave up on fixing it. But I wanted one because of 'Back To The Future.'

When I was at school I had a digital one, Akai, with the faux-wooden case. Gave it away when I left University as I was on the dole and didn't need it. Looked for another one since, no chance.

Well just because my first waking breath doesn't come with a mouthful of tea, I know there will be others for whom it does, so... also, the one I linked to looked to be a bit of a bargain and it was on Ebay, so met the criteria (or is it criterium?)
