Funny how people who do not fit the 'conventional' mould, seem to be the attention seekers. Or is that only to be expected?

Why is it so difficult to find decent fruit to eat? The plums and peaches from supermarkets are like bullets and just go bad before softening. Bananas start to go off within a day, melons and oranges are more tasteless than they used to be and only grapes seem worthwhile generally. Not to mention the supermarket prices, the local high street greengrocers are way better value and mainly tastier fruit too.

i pretty much stew all my fruit got fed up with hard tasteless fruit.. m and s stuff is best tho

I never buy fruit or veg from a supermarket; I use either my local greengrocer or farmshop (from which I will also buy milk and other dairy products).

When it comes to fruit, we have become used to, and spoilt by, in having what used to be seasonal fruits available all year round. I always choose bananas whose skins show signs of ripening, otherwise they are too 'firm' to my tastes. Likewise I will check other fruits by hand to assess their ripeness.

One other thing to remember is that if bananas occupy the same bowl as other fruits, bananas emit ethylene which will cause neighbouring fruits to ripen more quickly.

I see they still haven't caught the escaped inmate Khalife from Wandsworth Prison, my betting is he's already laying low in Hounslow or Southall, my money is on Southall, it's easier to reach and hide in.

The search in Richmond was likely prompted by his internet search history, no doubt he had computer access and may well have laid a few red herrings while planning the escape, I know I would have done.

I think he may have crossed the Thames at Putney and followed the north bank on foot for a mile or so without attracting attention or being very visible on the sparse CCTV coverage. From there the best route would be side roads parallel to the Thames up to the Grand Union Canal at Brentford, then follow the towpath to Southall, very little CCTV and no police patrols along there.

He'll probably have shorn his head, be growing a full beard and next time he's out and about, be wearing big black framed specs, a hat and semi-ethnic attire.

I'll keep an eye out! :)

guessing, but i think he had help, and they could be scattering false trails too. the guy the saw getting off a van wasnt him apparently.
