Denzel Washington is an ex something-or-other, blah blah. He takes a dislike to some drug dealers and kills them all.
And that's pretty much it, really. I don't know if there is supposed to be any connection with the TV series but the good thing about the TV series was that Edward Woodward was an overweight old man but he could still beat up young punks. Now Denzel may be knocking on a bit these days but he's still a big, athletic looking bloke so it isn't really surprising that he can go through the baddies like a dose of salts. There's no jeopardy, you never think he is going to get so much as a scratch and he doesn't.
There's no memorable scenes or great dialogue, just him killing people and lots of arty cinematography. A complete waste of the world's resources.

I do that sometimes. Watch about ten minutes and then realise it is just so poor I can't carry on. It does help of you kill some brain cells off with our old friend alcohol before you start in, not in all cases though. An actual lobotomy would be required for some of the worst stuff. Anyone here a fan of MST3K? Man I love this stuff! They have about 18 old episodes on Netflix these days and I’ve been knocking them out several a week! Quite a few of the movies they satire are British made movies, I’m not sure why? But it never fails to give me a laugh.
