Obviously happy to sit on them until someone bites... I'm sure there will be someone who will take a punt, I would defy anything new at £300 to sound as good. (Given that my RAM 150's sit unused I really don't need to pounce on them!)

According to the listing, the saving would actually be nearly £33,000 :eek: With that kind of saving I could also build a dedicated listening room to put my complete system in to... with enough left for carpets and curtains. Just have to save up for some Nordost interconnects then.
The price for these cables new is £37,350. The selling price on the eBay site you quote is £26,750. You do the sums! ;)
(The new price I quoted seems to have disappeared, but a HiFi+ review quotes £43,399 for a 4 metre pair, whereas the pair for sale are 3 metre long. The new price for a 3 metre pair will be greater than 3/4 x £43.399 = £32,549, so the figure of £37,350 seems realistic.}
.
But however you look at it, it's a ridiculous price to pay. It is suggested you spend 10% of the system cost on cables, so goodness knows how much the seller spent on his system.
Ah, I was going off the rrp that the seller mentioned in his description... Not such a bargain after all :( I think I'll pass. So 10% is the guide is it? I think my spend amounts to only about 2% :doh: But I don't see any cable upgrades on the horizon, I have other priorities these days, like keeping the lights on :)
When you consider the possible attraction of ridiculously priced products to a buyer then money laundering is one. Sold on at a loss obviously, but in return for clean funds. Just saying hypothetically.
Be interested to see where this one ends, QUAD 66 pre-amp and tuner with the desktop remote

Tuner really only a showpiece but this has always been my favourite QUAD pre with volume knob on the remote instead of up/down buttons.
And the orange display ofc. Lots of bids so far.
