That's what I said in post 3 of 'TRUMP Oh my fucking god'.
Great minds think alike.
Mine was an 'Imex' at about the same age. But I've worn a watch ever since.
So it would seem we starred off in the same direction, though ten years apart. :)
I would have gone on to say that the make of all my watches ended with "-ex", but that would be wrong, as I also had an Accurist watch when I was a teenager.
My first watch was a Timex, too! I still have it somewhere in a tin. I will try and find it, it has no strap, though.

DUXOT is a name new to me Roy. Where are they made?
I quite like it.
Don’t know much about them, purchased from Mainspring Boutique. Probably assembled in the east, equipped with the Seiko NH35 movement. Although a ‘budget’ watch its very well put together.

That's more my size and style, though I would prefer only the quarter hours to be numerated. But then I'm a fussy so-and-so.

Ah yes - much more to my taste. :)
Yes that is very handsome.
In fact if it had a silver face it would be almost identical to my Rolex.
Am I the only one who likes a watch with a bit more bling?
This thread always gets me browsing the watch sale sites and I am drawn to gold and diamonds.
Nice. (I always thought Hamilton were an American brand, but obviously I was wrong.)
They are -
Hamilton started making watches in Switzerland in 1969 when all of the company's manufacturing operations were relocated from the U.S. to Switzerland. This relocation was a result of the company's merger with Buren, a Swiss watchmaker, in 1966. The company eventually relocated to Biel, Switzerland in 2003.
You're getting slower at posting the images! Perhaps you need winding up, or a change of battery? ;)
Been a little busy.
Posts will be down in July, august and September to as I’m away for two weeks of each month.
Think it's a power meter, showing how much "charge" the mechanism has?
Least that's how they work on Panerei watches.
