The clarity caps are very good.
I'm using ClarityCap ESA 250v 4.7uF which are 23mm diameter. These fit OK (I fitted them at the extreme right hand side and extended the leads). I think you would find it difficult to fit anything much bigger and still get the lid back on.
I think the ClarityCaps are excellent, by the way.
Ok thank you all!
I will try the Clarity Caps ESA first. Maybe try the Mundorf MCaps later to see if there is much difference. Has anyone tried these?
ClarityCaps are good and I enjoyed them, but I did sense a small but worthwhile improvement with the AuriCaps.
HEEELLLPPP!
Damn thing! How did you get to stick the wire of the ClarityCaps ESA inside the tiny holes in PIN3B?
Solder some thinner wire to each end and plug that in. That's what I did. Cat 5 wire works OK. :)
I unsoldered the multi-pin connector and drilled out the PCB holes
Or you could just scrape the wires a bit thinner with a knife. That's what I did for the bigger caps I tried.
Just f*cked this up! The optical does not work, and coaxial only works in one side. I think I broke one of the wires of the cap, or it's because one the pins became lose.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Darn!!! I'll heat up the old iron again!
