Hi mine is an audiophonics Tim. Seem to have it in my mind it was 90 alsa software in 2.5. On 2.6 either first or second release. Seems good so far although not tried out anything fancy. Just not seen anything in the set up to say where's the sweet spot was. Mine is at 90 currently

I've had a couple of times when the software locked up and I had to un plug then plug back in. Both times were when I was using Tidal. First time I was downloading - second time I just wanted to play. The AirPlay showed that it was connected to Moode and Moode play screen showed AirPlay but there was no sound. I tried to reboot and it "couldn't find the file."
Any ideas?
This is strange - the tidal works on the iPhone just not on the iPad. Easy enough to work around.
Just hit a snag on my moode 2.6 version test. Either 1 or 2.. Forgot now but went to send a ripped disc via samba share as per usual and i got a message saying insufficient space on usb... Tried it a few times and reset things etc but same problem. I put my copy of 2.5 in again and it went no problem.
Is this just a flaw on my program or is it/was it a flaw in 2.6 test code?

I just tried getting moOde to work as a file player for my RPi 2B.
Most things seems to work, i have been able to get WLAN working and it has indexed my 2Tb externally powered USB disk.
I have access to the interface via it's IP Adress and all.
Audio output is over USB into an S.M.S.L M8 DAC...
The problem is, all i get out is a horribly distorted sound with the intended music way back in the noise...

The I2S is set to Off, and under MPD settings everything is set properly (to these eyes), with USB Audio.

Sorry to harass you guys that have been using moOde for a while now!
But, im not pleased with the way the library view works and i have two main gripes:
1. If you sort on Artist-tag, dont include "the", "a" etc in the sort order (See piccie)
2. There need to be some sort of indexing, i dont know how many 'swipes' i had to spend to scroll down to this part of the Artist-list! (library disc has got some 50.000 songs, by various performers)

Can something be done about this? On the Browse view, i have better control as the harddrive is organised into indexed folders, sorted by Album Artist which is hard tagged to, say "Beach Boys, The"

I use the browse tab personally. Probably coz i always found it easier to find stuff...some folk find the library view good so guess its horses for courses
The way I use it for 16000+ tracks is hit the little drop down arrow and start typing who I'm looking for and it starts listing albums/artists right away, no need to scroll

I again tried 2.6 this time test release 4.. The problem adding via samba to my hdd is still there. Just comes up no space on disc although there is in fact plenty. I returned to 2.5 and it accepts new music..
Obviously i seem to be the only person to have encountered this but as its happened on 2 different releases i cant really blame my set up now.
So i will have to stick with 2.5

Moode is great, but one thing that annoys me is when you type the name of an artist/group into the search box, and all that comes back are individual tracks from the artist/group searched on, not albums, which is quite frustrating, especially if there happens to be 20-odd relevant albums stored on your hard drive(s), and so often 100s of tracks pop up, but with no immediate access to the albums which the tracks come from.
Is there any way you could alter the software so that albums, not tracks from albums, appear when the search box is used? :)

I tried plugging a USB drive (my passport ) into the pi and updated the mpd but after updating for quite a while I can't see any music on the drive. Is there a trick to this?
Try doing a reboot via the web interface and then check library, mine did this and although it looked like it was just sitting doing nothing it had actually added my library.Quote:

Glad to say I've got TR7 up and running fine but one thing I have noticed from TR5 onwards is that when you apply an MPD config it fails to connect but after refreshing the page all is ok on Chrome, with Firefox it asks you to reconnect which sometimes works and sometimes shows page unavailable requiring a refresh which then shows the changes as completed.

I've got my third build up and running with the DAC listed above. I was wondering if there was any way to use the headphone out on the pi or if it is permanently disabled when I installed the Hifiberry
Right now there is no sound available at that output.

Great work, Tim! I shall try 2.6 out very soon.
A suggestion for a next version: would it be possible to add the ability to record from radio streams? This would, of course, also need a way of scheduling specific programmes, for example to record BBC Proms concerts from the 320k stream. I already do this using Node.js and VLC (via its command line interface) on a Mac, but having it built into Moode would be very cool. Not sure if it would be do-able?
