Ah, have you been invited somewhere, such as over to your daughter's place?:)
Marco.
its coming in two pieces. one will be simmered in stock and herbs for ever until it just falls apart. the other will get roasted, if i can manage it in micro oven. should work as its just an electric oven after all. Just never tried it before. if i dont feel confident i will freeze
So I'm confused then, what do you mean by "ordered"? And "it's coming" from where?
Marco.
its coming with my shopping tomorrow.. leg of lamb was on offer so i took one. comes from the butcher's department tho. (tesco as i get free deliveries with them)
Ah I didn't know that... Thought you still went out to go shopping, hence why you got your car? Anyway, enjoy!
Marco.
yup i usually do but ordered in advance as my back was causing issues at time and didnt fancy fighting off the crowds with their kids in tow at shops over easter. so let my fingers do the walking. I get free deliveries, but i use it for the boy's shopping as it was becoming too much for me, doing both his and mine. His is pretty much the same every time anyway.
I go out to various places for my own and enjoy it as its just for me, and i try to pick quiet times, like you. that way i get fresh every couple of days, in any shop i fancy
All makes sense, mate:)
We did most of our shopping yesterday when it was quiet, so just the fish to get today for Sunday, which we've just been and got. The king scallops look gorgeous!
You don't eat seafood though, do you?
Btw, right next to the fishmongers is this fabulous butcher, which we also use occasionally: http://www.sjbebbingtonbutchers.co.uk/

We're now up to 23°C! That's about my ideal temperature - don't like it too much warmer (25/6, max):)
Just about to have a light lunch al fresco (some haddock fishcakes), as today it's Fast and Abstinence, before going to Good Friday mass at 3pm :https://www.catholic.org/lent/abfast.php
