It always ended ok on "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea". Even when disaster stuck and the Seaview was pissing in water, they could stop the leaks by just turning a few knobs. He knew his stuff, Richard Basehart.

yeah but any submarine film even if they don't all end up dying horribly there's always water coming in at some point which would be enough to turn me over.

I've a had a good little run on the gee gees at Royal Ascot, £27 up going into the final day.

Thing is, if the submersible is being used in international waters its use isn't regulated and doesn't come under anyone's jurisdiction. Of course that won't stop the families from going after them.

I'd been following this. When they said it hadn't surfaced following communications loss, I had the feeling they were done for. It was apparently designed to jettison ballast weights and surface automatically in an emergency.

Their air ran out at dinnertime anyway.
