During a private screening, Alfred Hitchcock asked John Buchan, whose original plot had been used only very loosely, what he thought of the movie so far. Buchan replied: "Fascinating! I wonder how it will end."
Wanted to watch that new Soprano's film 'The Many Saints Of Newark.' Went on Virgin PPV - £15.99 for two days! I mean I thought it might be about seven quid tops.
Just taking the piss. It isn't even fifteen quid to see it at the pictures.
Pre-ordered it on DVD £9.99 including delivery, arrives tomorrow. So six quid less and I've got it forever not two days.
Taking the piss is an understatement.
A couple of weeks ago I fancied watching "Absolute Power" which I'd seen listed somewhere. Unfortunately that somewhere was Sky Store, which wanted 14 quid to rent. For a 1997 film! No doubt due to Covid or Brexit or something.
