Just watched 'Tom Brown's Schooldays' 1951 on Talking Pictures TV. Very much 'of its time', but a nice old movie nonetheless.

The only good thing about Tom Brown's Schooldays is that it spawned the 'Flashman' novels. Even the later, shit ones are a better read than TBS. There's a modern film of TBS too which is also poor. Although to be fair the one Flashman film they did is quite poor too.Quote:

My Restored bluray of The African Queen(1951). Stunning picture and a superb film for its day.
Think Bogart and Huston the director, were the only 2 not to get sick on location due to them only drinking whisky... how they ever managed to make a film ........lol

Film above. The Thing was watchable and ok. It was kinda mixed up and didn't know if it was a prequel or a remake tho. Special effects were good

Just finished watching 'Cop Land' with Sylvester Stallone on 5Spike. I'd forgotten what a great film this is and how good Stallone could be in a decent role. Fantastic cast all round. Terrific movie!
