you mean regarding nuclear proliferation? I think that while it's not impossible (just highly unlikely) that a tactical weapon might be used at some point in the future (Ukraine?) that doesn't mean the start of WW3.Quote:

I don't see the same situations now. if Japan had known that the retaliation for their attack on Pearl Harbour would be the USA nuking Tokyo I think they would have found a different way out of their problem.
I think it will reach a stalemate, as there is very little progress from either side. WW3 is unlikely, as there is too much at stake. All wars end up at the negotiating table.
except for that one where they had to nuke Japan. Twice.
And the Korean War which is technically still going.
