I got one of these Harman Kardon tuners, and it is one of the best DX signal puller I have ever listened to. Reproduction is second to none as well. A pity this one is a bit tacky looking.
My Hitachi FT5500-II was a superb tuner and could pull a good signal from wet string but sounded excellent on a good signal. I sold it some years ago but remember it fondly.

A&R Cambridge 'T21' is an excellent tuner if you can forgive the LED display, does look sexy all the same.
