Yes, he's put a brick inside it.... :eyebrows:
My Copper amp weighs 40kg. Are we having a 'fat bastard' amp contest, then? :D

Well, at my age, you're grateful for any knob that works. :D
Do you still polish it, though? That's the question! :eyebrows:
Marco.
How does the techie compare to the Williams? (Whisper in my ear if the answer might offend Mr Williams...)
They are both very good - no, excellent - amps.
I don't plan to sell the Williams amp (yet) - but there is something about a naturalness to the Techie that is just plain "yeah, that's how it should go".
The Williams is a tad better at deep bass slam & control, but doesn't maybe have quite the rez in the mids ... maybe ....
I was very satisfied with the Williams amp - it really is a stonker - and then the Technics turned up!
I can't quite put my finger on why I prefer the Technics at the moment - mmm, a more natural midrange is my best guess - more listening required!
Maybe bi-amping with the Williams on the bass?
Yep, listening through the Technics amp this evening, it's the midrange that's the key - exceptionally transparent with big, big dollops of that ol' palpable presence / tactility thing.
