It's safe to say that Croft isn't loosing value. I'm a Croft user as well.

This suggests that they're bucking the trend, if you believe that the second hand market is otherwise slow at the moment. In general I feel I'm seeing components that would have shifted quickly a few years ago sticking around on sale for longer and at lower prices, subjectively of course.

A lot of what hangs around is mediocre, had an unrealistic price when it was new, and has an unrealistic asking price now it's used.

Croft was always realistically priced when new.

There's no doubt some general economic uncertainty restraining the market but I also think the market is now a little wiser about value than it used to be.

I still see genuinely good equipment that's being offered at a realistic price being snapped up within days or even hours whereas, at the extreme end, multi thousand pound cables being offered at a fraction of the original RRP mostly hang about forever like a bad smell.

I had thought it more a case that folks who were going to get into hi-fi, or get into hi-fi again eg the 'vinyl revival', have now done so hence there's been a bit of a lull lately. That said, certain brands/models always seem to shift quickly.
