Moon amp serviced.
Since the amp was at least 12 years old thought it might need a fettle, dropped into Loud n Clear in Edinburgh, collected after our wee holiday, and wow, wether it was just the usual components that they changed or a couple extra that had apparent overheat damage but very chuffed. Even herself seems impressed.:yay:Who knew.

My PS Audio dac's going to Hubert @ Loud n Clear Edinburgh end of this month to get signal transformers on the analogue output board swapped out for (very much) better ones.
He's their main tech service guy, and the official main service tech for Moon equipment in the UK, so really knows what hes about.

Great email exchange and tech feedback about my Mod, inspired 100%.confidence He was exactly the right guy to go to.
Dac will be fully tested and verified A-ok after he does his work, wiith test traces the whole bit.
Take your kit to this Guy,
Deal with confidence.

Really nice guy Hubert, explained work done in terms understandable to me, price better than other quotes I had elsewhere. No problems with any dealings with the guys at Loud and Clear.

Glasgow branch of Loud and Clear has been my "Dealer of choice" for many years now,
and before that the guys that started L 'n C, when they were Stereo Stereo.
Phoned them to do the mods on my Dac, and they recommended I go to Hubert in the Edinburgh store.
Fun fact:
Guy from Stereo Stereo who sold me my first decent turntable in 1996 from my Student Grant (a Rega P2), sold me my Rega P10 at Loud n Clear!
And he came to my house to set up the Cart I bought from them on my Orbe.
Small world.
:)
Bricks 'n mortar stores are worth supporting.
