xlr or phono bi-amp
I am currently running mark grant bi-amp cables to four temple audio mono blocks...just wondering if there would be any advantage in utilising my dacs xlr outputs over the phonos im using at present.
The monoblocks have phono inputs,so I dont know if there is any advantage to be had or if its possible to have the cables im running re-terminated with xlrs.
Can anyone shed some light.
Tony.

No point really unless you like spending money for the sake of it :)
If your amps don't accept balanced (xlr) inputs there is zero point in using the balanced outputs as you'll simply have to leave one cable disconnected at the amplifier end (if spending on new balanced cable) or one connection open at the DAC end if using your single ended cable :eyebrows:
However, if you ever purchase power amps with balanced xlr inputs i'd suggest going balanced any day of the week :)
