The Almarro 318B is available, and I live in Devon, the amp does not run unduly hot for a valve amplifier, obviously the output valves are hot to the touch, the amp has a wide open spacious sound more so than any other amps I have had apart from the Graff 20 OTL which was about equal, due to the high current availability when required from the output tubes the amp will drive most loudspeakers with an excellent bass response. The construction quality is excellent, the B version having upgraded output transformers to the earlier version.
Hi,I am interested in your amp, could you tell where you are located ? Also could you tell me if these amps run very hot ,or is the heat output reasonable.I was considering an ear 869 but have been impressed by reports of this amp.Regards Dave.
