I'm considereng selling my PLC-1 MKII passive attenuator.
This is a very high quality bit of kit that has many more features than the average passive "preamp".
It has 4 inputs, two outputs for bi-amping, a tape loop and is fully remote controlled. That means both the volume level and input selection can be done via the included remote. Also, one of the 4 inputs can be converted into a home theatre bypass input. This means that you can connect the front channel pre-out from your surround sound amp to this input. The volume control on the AV amp then controls the volume of your stereo systems power amp/s so that you can use the same main speakers in both systems. I found this feature extremely useful.
To make all the remote control stuff work the unit requires a small AC power adapter. The audio signal path is purely passive.

As you can see from the second link these units cost £700 new. I'd be looking at selling this for around £500. I probably wouldn't be selling for a couple of months though as I need time to finish my new attenuator project. Let me know if this takes your fancy.
EDIT: I forgot to mention; this is in mint condition and comes with original box, manual and power adapter.
