Hi,

Hoping someone can help me out, looking for the schematics and any other info on the Radford FMT1 valve tuner.

I have just received one as a restoration project but need info to proceed.

Do you know which one you have? There were several flavours of FMT1. If you look at the AoS Library article that Barry & I produced, you will see them listed as:

FMT-1 was a £30 valve design with several variants:
FMT.M – Stereo version (an extra £12)
FMT.Q – Mono with inter-station noise suppression (a £4 premium)
FMT.Q.M – Stereo with inter-station noise suppression (a £16 premium)

But I think it was available in strictly limited form as a mono version with, as an extra, a separate multiplex decoder from August 1963.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the prompt response, I think that I may have the basic FMT1, there is no multiplex socket on the back and no signs of a decoder inside.

That is the correct model, I will keep looking for more info, not a lot out there on the web ref. these tuners!!

Are you a member of the Radford Yahoo Group?
There are several ex-Radford employees there. There are also at least two owners of this model - one of them may have what you are looking for.
