It's a nice old turntable that can turn in a half decent performance but £155? The world truly has gone mad.....
Too little too late for Garrard by then, as the Pioneer PL12D ruled the waves (before Rega waived the rules, or summat ;))
The 125SB had much reduced rumble over the idler driven groove-manglers I'm playing with. The arm was a mixture of good and bad, the reduced friction and (further?) improved auto mech being compromised by the arm's rigidity, or slight lack of it from a 'Choice review.
If you can persuade madame to keep it all, a change of cartridge to an AT95E or 100E from the supplied Shure 75-6S (or whatever equivalent Garrard used) may offer an improvement in this particular case - the arm will track at 1.75g unlike the earlier SP25's.
I'd put a good plinthed 125SB at around £30 tops myself, the PL12D being plentiful and much better, if not as good as a Rega or Pro-ject IMO.

Just and 125SB to play with it needs a new belt it runs but the belt is slack also needs a good clean but i think it will be OK ones up and running.
was £10....
one of their better efforts some say others may not my first deck was a zero 100SB so this one will hold some memories...:)
