South West Analogue

We are Marion and Graham Whittley, we both worked for ARA at SME for well over twenty years. We both started there in 1977 which means we have 33 years experience of the company and it`s products.

In 1998 we moved to West Somerset and set up South West Analogue primarily to represent SME in the West Country. With the introduction of our web-site six years later we started getting customers world wide and this has expanded over the years.

We still have a very close relationship with the company and are now regarded as the SME Specialist. If we can help anyone with an SME related query we will be pleased to do so.

Hi there Graham & Marion,
Welcome to the Art of Sound.
I lived in Steyning for most of my school years, so I know Mill Road very well, as I'm sure you must!

Cheers

Hi Graham,
Hope you can find your way around this special forum, un-like others on the net it is run by a genuine audiophile who does not dismiss anything without full investigation, anti-cable forums abound, this is not one of them, it's also very heavily analogue orientated so you should find yourself at home.

The SME 309 you very kindly supplied me with arrived today, I spent maybe 5 sad long minutes just staring at the tone-arm lead you sent me how good it looks, then the box within a box and then the instructions, only after a very long time or so it seemed did I open the polystyrene packaging to reveal a true work of art. The arm is a joy to behold and I cannot wait to fit it, hopefully my armboard will arrive tomorrow and then the fun will begin. Much appreciated and I owe you a real debt of gratitude because I have spent months looking for a 309 for sensible money (only because I cannot afford £1150 for a new one) and it must have been fate when I e-mailed you to see how you were. Result!
