Cheers Nick

I've actually been offered a haul of TDK & BASF 7'' reels of tape thats been used once & stored for about 20 or so years but are guarenteed perfect, but it's getting hold of a really cheap bulk eraser like a Teac 'E2'!

If you have any spare TDK ones I'd be interested. I like TDK tape but don't have any left for recording on.

Have you looked into RMGI and/or ATR? ATR is pricier; but, very nice as I understand it. I purchased 2 reels of RMGI LPR35 and one sounds excellent; recorded a Phil Woods LP on it. I trashed the other (first) reel because I had not aligned the machine first. :(

ATR tape sounds interesting, Biff, but it's tough to get hold of over here... RMG LPR35 is fantastic tape though. Bit of a standard and biased so it plays nicely with most consumer machines too.
