Australian Aboriginal Music

Anyone here into Australian aboriginal music? I've discovered it a few years ago when I attended an amazing Ganga Giri concert. I'm now totally into it, the didjeridoo (sp?), the stick-hitting-another-stick style of percussion, the raspy singing. Just magical, unreal... There's nothing like it, really.

If you like didje music, you might like to try listening to something by Charlie McMahon or his band Gondwanaland. He's not an aboriginal, but he was probably the first white-fella to get famous for playing it. And he took the instrument a bit further by adding his own twist with the didjeribone, which is a kind of a cross between a didje and a trombone.

Another one to try: Peter Sculthorpe - "Earth Cry" on Naxos. To all intents and purposes it's a concerto for Digeridoo and orchestra. I really enjoy it.
