Seems I jumped the gun and have to introduce myself first.
Right then: I'm a senior :( with 40 years experience as a cerified audiophile nutcase. For a variety of reasons I have had to scale down my ambitions...simple is better. I have a nice listening room and a nice system consisting of the following: TL speakers from Holland, an extreemly modded Marantz cd-67 and a very special ICE amp which has been modded to the hilt by Wyred4Sound (and prior to that by michel Mardis). Cables are a mix from Grover Huffman and KCI (of Silkworm fame). I listen mostly to jazz and small classical ensembles. I don't know what more I can add! I am a rabid follower of various threads on DIYaudio.com; especially and obviously the endless one about Marantz CDPs. (the 67 and 63 series) cheers
